Our multiple Centers of Excellence across the country feature advanced equipment that enables us to produce precision-manufactured components and assemblies for our customers in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and evolving high-tech industries. We have a broad range of capabilities, from milling to tube bending to gun drilling.

So at ALIGN PRECISION, when we look at the Centers of Excellence across the country, there isn't one capability when it comes to machining that we are not able to support. We have all the machining capabilities, whether it's milling or turning, tube bending or gun drilling, any complex machining capability. We now have the ability to do complex forming. So as a combined unit across the enterprise, it allows us to become much more vertically integrated. And at the end of the day, we want to be the one stop. We want to be able to provide our customer a solution. Our customer is challenging us every day to invest in that next capability. We want to listen to our customer. We want to offer them the best solution to their needs. And when we look across our organization, we align very well. There's a lot of synergies across our locations. We share a lot of best practices. We work together to bring out the best in each of our facilities and our teams. I'm proud of what we're building.

Semiconductor customers push us to excel

We've touched many industries. The hot industry today is the semiconductor. The semiconductor is actually pushing the envelope in the machining world, which keeps all of us moving at rapid pace. When you think about the size of the chips, accuracy and cleanliness are the number one requirement. Clean room assembly is something that we pride ourselves on. Customers come to us, one, for the quality and second of all, the cleanliness requirement that they have is real stringent. We're aware of the tolerances. There's tolerances that we hold 20 millionths flatness across 12 inches. There's not a lot of people that can do that.

A broad range of capabilities benefits customers

Having a nationwide footprint is a big benefit for our customer. Also gives us a broad range of capability. In our platform, we have everything from micro to massive with facilities specializing in certain sizes and certain technologies to produce all requirements for a customer. Align has a heritage. We acquire facilities as well as grow organically. The facilities that we acquire are very mature, many facilities more than 40 years old. Through reinvestment and the strength of the people, we really stay cutting edge with a strong base of knowledge. The future for Aligned is bright. We are a growing company, expanding our footprint, expanding our services, expanding our capability so that we can grow with the needs of our customers.

Precision every step of the way

A lot of people would think that precision just means manufacturing or producibility, but precision is into your quality systems, it's into your customer service, and it's into your engineering department. Where you really get into critical design parts that have tight tolerance work, our core competency is in medium and complex items that our customers require. We have AS9100 qualifications across our platforms. In the nuclear sub safe, we're sub safe level one, and then across some of the air force requirements, we're safety critical for some of the various applications. A lot of our customers require what's called new product introduction and with that expertise and the technology we're able to get cost driven parts for them and look at the manufacture process. Being aligned to my customer needs is servicing what their demands are and making sure that we're hearing what their needs are and being able to invest in that future for them.
