As Chief Executive Officer, Eric Ellis guides the vision, strategy, and approach of ALIGN PRECISION. As a transformational leader with more than 25 years of experience in the industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors, he has a proven track record of driving growth through operational excellence, customer connection, and building empowered, high-performing teams. As CEO of ALIGN, his primary focus is on enhancing our operational capabilities, strengthening our partnerships, and identifying our opportunities for growth.
Eric’s distinguished career has been defined by his ability to turn complex challenges into strategic opportunities. Most recently, as CEO of FMI Aerostructures, he successfully led a company-wide turnaround and restructuring, driving impressive financial performance. Prior to FMI, Eric was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Precision Systems business unit at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, overseeing a team of over 2,000 members across 15 sites. Under his leadership, the unit delivered double-digit growth, fueled by advancements in technology development and operational performance.
Earlier in his career, Eric held executive positions at L3Harris®, where he revitalized technology and operations as President of the Fuzing and Ordnance Systems division driving significant growth in sales, earnings, and cash flow. Eric started his career at Danaher Corporation, where he built a strong foundation in lean enterprise practices as part of an executive leadership development program. Continual listening and learning has been key to his consistent growth as a leader.
Eric earned his Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University and his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University. He also completed leadership coursework at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
